This family-friendly hike does not present any particular technical challenges. It allows you to discover several iconic heritage sites in the Guebwiller region: the former Romanesque abbey church of Murbach, Hugstein Castle, and the Church of St. John the Baptist in Buhl. It’s also possible (via a detour of about 4 km) to pass by the ruins of Hohrupf Castle, of which only a few traces remain.
At several points along the trail, you’ll find benches where you can rest: at the Schrangen Pass (table and benches), at the Notre-Dame de Lorette Chapel (benches), near the former Hôtel Saint Barnabé (table and benches), and at Hugstein Castle (table and benches)...
